The first payment will be issued to the driver upon completion of driver orientation. The second will be issued the following Friday. Drivers that are still her 120 days later will also receive a $2300 bonus check.
- Week 1 Pay - $1500
- Week 2 - $1200
- $2300 Bonus After 120 Days
STARTING CPM
We offer our drivers CPM or Percentage pay. The driver gets to choose. Mileage pay ranges $0.53 - $0.60 CPM based on tenure with Montgomery Transport. Starting pay for new drivers is determined by the length of time the driver was at his previous company. Driver CPM increases $0.01 each year while driving for Montgomery, up to $0.60 CPM.
Driver CPM level does not reflect the maximum pay a driver can expect to make at Montgomery, this is just a base pay drivers can always expect. This amount is the lowest amount a driver will ever be paid on a load.
Additional pay from OD loads and tarping allows our drivers to make more money than what is reflected by a drivers CPM pay level. The average CPM of our drivers is $0.65.- $0.70+ because of the additional pay included in our pay structure.
Percentage pay is 27%
OD PAY
We pay drivers an additional $0.07 - $0.15 CPM on over dimensional loads. OD loads increase our lowest starting pay to $0.60 - $0.68 CPM.
TARP PAY
Tarping a flatbed load is important and needs to be done correctly. We reward our drivers with tarp pay for working hard and paying attention to detail.
$50 legal standard loads
$60 OD loads
PRACTICAL MILES
We are proud to pay our drivers on practical route mileage versus short route miles, or HHG. Using practical miles results in being paid an average of a 4% variable increase compared to mileage guides that many other carriers use.
You're driving from Ft. Wayne, IN to Atlanta, GA. MT will pay you for 651 practical miles driven...a difference of 62 miles over the short miles. That's a 10.5% variance and extra $26 per route.
WEEKLY MINIMUM PAY
Montgomery Transport offers weekly min pay to drivers after 30 days of employment. We understand that some things happen on the road that are out of our drivers’ control. If you're scheduled to work 5 days a week, but elements out of your control throw a wrench in your schedule, we've got your back. Here's how it breaks down.
👉 30 Day - 2 Years @ MT = $1,200 per week
👉 2+ Years @ MT = $1,300 per week
BREAKDOWN PAY
If the wheels ain't turning, you ain't earning!! Which is why we pay our drivers $150 a day for breakdown pay and $300 on weekends.
HOLIDAY PAY
All of our Montgomery Transport employees — especially our hard-working flatbed drivers – deserve Holiday Pay to celebrate holidays with their family and friends. So, we give our drivers six paid holidays at a rate of $100 a day after 6 months of employment.
