Qualifications
At Montgomery Transport, we've set a standard of flatbed expertise and experience so our flatbed drivers and the heavy loads they carry get to their destination in a timely manner. The types of loads we carry require specific safety measures, which means we need qualified individuals to get the job done. As a flatbed logistics company, we strive to enhance the long-term interest of our professional flatbed drivers by fostering a driver-friendly atmosphere to complement our supportive company culture.
- 6-month flatbed experience, 1 year CDL-A OTR
- No more than three moving violations or at-fault accidents combined in the past three years
- Experience hauling steel coils is a plus, though not a requirement
- No DUI in the past 10 years
Expectations

Attend
Attend an orientation in Birmingham, AL for four days. Montgomery Transport will cover travel to Birmingham, your private room lodging and 3 meals per day during your orientation journey. Luggage fees and/or fuel costs will be reimbursed during orientation. You will receive your orientation pay direct deposited upon completion on your first Friday.
Paired
Get paired with your Driver Manager based off your personality and communication preferences.
Receive
You will receive your first load upon orientation graduation and will be dispatched through your house for the weekend.
First Load
Your first load will be delivered on Monday following orientation graduation. You will receive weekly paychecks that could also potentially include extra pay items such as OD, tarp, detention, layover or breakdown pay.
Be Aware
Be aware of your surroundings at all times, both while securing your load and on the road. Stay focused at all times and avoid distractions and keep safety at the forefront of everything you do.
