HOW WILL TRUCK DRIVERS VOTE IN THE 2024 ELECTION

How will truck drivers vote in the 2024 Presidential election if they can't get home on election day?

Truck drivers play a major role in keeping the country running and deserve the opportunity to vote, but there are a lot of challenges for drivers when it comes to traditional voting because they're rarely home. Here are three ways for drivers to vote while on the road:

1. Vote In-Person

If it’s important for you to vote in person, talk to your driver manager about planning your route to allow home time on election day to ensure you’re able to get to your polling place.

2. Vote Early

Most states offer some form of early voting. This can be helpful if you happen to be home the weeks leading up to Election Day and would be a good option if you're able to vote before getting back on the road. 3. Vote Absentee

Absentee voting allows individuals to submit their ballot by mail ahead of Election Day, and is a common solution for truck drivers. Each state has different conditions you must meet, but as a truck driver you will qualify. You’ll need to request an absentee ballot and must follow the rules on how to submit your vote or them to be counted (by a certain date and time).
