History
After graduating from Auburn University, Rollins Montgomery went to work for a steel tube manufacturer, where he learned the ins and outs of manufacturing, spending time in warehousing, sales, logistics and operations. It was while working in receiving that he noted that contract drivers turned three or four deliveries each day. Analyzing the operations and utilization, he felt he could make improvements and that is how RM Logistics was born.
With real-life insight into the needs of customers, Rollins was able to identify additional opportunities for growth, forming Montgomery Transport in 2011, then followed by a plethora of transportation entities. Today the Montgomery Entities combined have approximately 700 units.
